O! What a City!

We've lived in Omaha for five years. We like it here. We don't live at all close to downtown, so heading down there is kind of a special deal. We hadn't been for quite some time, and we were in for a huge treat.

While we waited for Spaghetti Works, the balloon man made Kailey a critter

She loved her kitty!

And we ate a yummy meal - buy one get one free meals, thanks to the Savings Sidekick Coupon Book!

Then we ventured out. We saw a few fountains, and some beautiful flowers, too.

Now for the surprise. We had read lots about the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, crossing from Omaha to Council Bluffs. We had seen it from the interstate. We were not proponents of this several million dollar "bridge to nowhere"! BUT WOW. It was beautiful. And so many people were out enjoying it. Incredible.

The walk both there and back is along the riverwalk.
If you are up for a trip to Omaha, I highly recommend this adventure. The only cost is food, unless you bring a picnic to the park. It was a fantastic night and we will do it again very soon

I have to include this one last picture from our hike back to the car. Kailey invented a game she's named "No Daddy!" (Craig is not a big fan of the name) But basically she giggles and yells "No Daddy" and starts to run. This means Craig should chase her and tickle her guts out. It is quite the thing to watch.
