The Water Park

We spent two nights in Okoboji with family and had an awesome time at the water park! As usual, Kailey was not afraid of anything.

She enjoyed spraying other people

And shooting baskets

Hanging out in the water

The slides

And the lazy river!

The kiddos back at the ranch

Jodi and Cody got the kids these shirts. They say "Coach Bruning's Little Viqueen" (or Viking)!

Their names are on the back...too cute!

It was time to leave all too soon.

We had a blast!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Fun with Grandma

Grandma Becky came up one day last week for some fun. She brought cookie dough to roll out, bake, and frost. She also brought some pumpkins to decorate. We had a great time, though I probably told Kailey to stop eating dough and frosting about a dozen times!

Grandma also brought some old dress up clothes and recital outfits - Kailey was pretty excited about those, too!

Thanks Grandma!

Painting Brigade

We traveled to Iowa earlier this week to help Brent and Holly paint some rooms in their new home. We are very excited for them and will enjoy seeing the house come to life with all the colors Holly has selected. We kept very busy but had a few moments to take some pictures. Kailey enjoyed playing with Sophia!

Dana College Homecoming

It's been 10 years - seems impossible! My college gang hadn't been together since graduation. It was time. Friends traveled from Denver, LA, New York City, eastern Iowa, and Omaha.

We spent Friday night here and enjoyed some old pictures and good laughs.

With spouses and children present

Saturday we woke up to several inches of snow! I had warned my fair-weather friends, but it was still a bit of a shock!

We headed to campus for some activities and food. Again.........the slide was a big hit!

Victor E. Viking was a big hit, too!

After lunch, the sun came out and it was nice for a little while, anyway. Craig and Kailey made this cute little snowman. Two strangers even took her picture!

Later that night we hit up the beer garden and dance for a little bit. Dana never allowed alcohol on campus (and they still don't) so we had to get a picture with real beer in the Dana cups!

Self portrait of me and Deneen

A really nice student let us in to Holling Hall and her room. Almost all of us lived in Holling at one point.

This student had also been on the Homecoming court, so we had to have our royalty pose.

Sunday we were back on campus, as Shane preached in chapel. He did an awesome job - we were very proud!

Chorale reunion - I found out my voice is very out of shape and I forgot one of the songs! It was really fun, though.

Amy came from LA and stayed here, so we had some time to really talk and catch up.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for an awesome weekend I won't forget! Love you all!

NWC Homecoming

Each year, the gang from Northwestern College gets together in Orange City on Homecoming weekend. It's always great to see everyone! We hang out and let the kids (10 and counting) play until they are exhausted. It's a blast.

Craig ran the 5K Red Raider race and finished third for his age group. We had fun cheering him on!

Then we all headed over to the kiddie carnival, also known as Morning on the Green. It was freezing outside, so it was indoors which was great! Kailey is a daredevil, and a big slide this doesn't even make her hesitate.

There were prizes for all the games

Here is just a sampling of the kids!

We headed to a local pumpkin patch and had lots of fun. Unfortunately this was our attempt at a group photo.

So big!

So many to choose from!

A play area

And a kiddie corn maze!

I think this is a cute picture of my brother Troy and nephew Matthias :)

We stayed overnight with the Bahrkes and had a great, relaxing night. The girls were pretty into their art projects!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!
