Whirlwind Weekend - Saturday

Saturday we had a big day! It was homecoming at Craig's alma mater, and every year he and his group of friends get together for the weekend. It started out with 5 couples, and now it's 5 couples plus 9 kids and a bunch of other fun people that drop by. Of the 9 kids, there is one 4 year old, three 2 year olds, two 1 year olds, and three infants.

Craig and Rebecca headed to NWC early to get in on the 5K race. Troy and I packed up the three kids and came mid-morning. The van was pretty full!

The college hosts a carnival and the kids had a good time. Kailey especially loved the petting zoo.

Lunch - the "big kids"

Can you believe that all 9 kids got naps?? Pretty amazing. After that we headed to the park just one block away. Kailey had her first merry-go-round ride!

Thanks everyone for such a great weekend!

Whirlwind Weekend - Friday

We took a three day weekend and headed to Sioux Falls on Friday. We have some friends we don't get to see too often so we stopped by to say 'hi'!

Andy, Sara, and Samuel were first. They were gracious to serve us lunch and found Kailey a great napping spot. We headed to the park to enjoy the nice weather, too.

Then we met up with Brook and Andrea. We ran around the acreage for awhile. Kailey wanted to be like the big kids and climb the fence! Then we headed to HuHot for supper.

It was great to catch up with everyone!

10K!

Craig ran the Corporate Cup on Sunday. It was his first race ever and he did awesome! His official time was 45:55. I am extremely proud of him!

He enjoyed it so much, he is running a 5K this weekend. I'm sure it will be a breeze in comparison.

Grandparents!

Last weekend we had lots of visitors. Friday night we had visitors from Mitchell and really enjoyed the time with them. We didn't take any pictures - our time together was short!

Saturday Craig's parents came down for a visit, so Diane came over and we all ate lunch together. After nap we went for a walk. It was a beautiful day!

Sunday my parents stopped by for a visit!

Eight...Nine...TEN!!

Kailey is growing up so much. Potty training isn't really working so we're taking a break from that. But Tuesday I overheard her count to 10 for the first time by herself! She really likes letters and numbers and although she doesn't recognize their name/value, she knows they are letters and numbers and points to them and says any letter or number she's thinking of.

I also had to laugh the other day because she was in time out (which is just as stressful for me as her, I think) and she was saying loudly "Sowwy Mommy" over and over. She had been sitting there all of 5 seconds so it still wasn't time to get up yet!

Friends

Kailey and Tanner are just four days apart. We finally got them together to play and they had a blast. It was the first really cool day - almost cold - but they didn't seem to notice!

Cousins!

Grandma and Grandpa kept my niece for a few days this week, so Tuesday we went to the zoo and to Chuck E. Cheese's. It was a cool day so the zoo wasn't busy at all - how nice!

Cousins

The peacocks were very interested in us at lunchtime. Whenever they would walk away, the girls would call to them to come back. We somehow managed to get the girls to eat anyway!

Craig met us for pizza at Chuck E. Cheese's. Adallia was really excited to go, and Kailey had no idea what was going on because it was her first time.

Pizza for everyone

Riding in the big car!

Grandpa had to shimmy down the slide with Kailey - it wasn't slick :)

Kailey likes her shark toy from the zoo - thanks!
