Easter

This is the first year we colored Easter eggs. Kailey had fun! First, we dissolved the tablets (waiting patiently......)

Now, the fun part!

Kailey wasn't feeling too hot early in the weekend. We weren't sure what we'd find on Sunday morning, but this was hilarious! Kailey was sound asleep in this "comfy" position:

She got a note from the Easter bunny that he would be back to hide eggs when she was feeling better :) Fortunately she was actually fine on Sunday so we proceded with our plans.

After an awesome Easter service at church, we headed to Red Oak to have lunch with a bunch of family. My mom hid tons of eggs for the kids to find after lunch.

When we were leaving, Kailey was calling Jace her brother! I guess she had fun :)

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well! We are so thankful for God's great love for us, that he would send his Son to die for us.

Paulsens x6

Last weekend we visited Brent, Holly, and Sophia at their place. We had a great time! Their town had an Easter egg hunt so we headed out with the girls for that.

When it was "go" time, the fire engine sounded it's siren and off the kids went. Instead of eggs, they had the candy in baggies - maybe due to a chance of rain?

Kailey was excited!

Back at home, Sophia was starting to crawl like a champ! I think we got in on her first day of really getting around - so fun!

Of course Kailey had to "teach" her some things, like the sippy cup...

and the Leap Pad....

and how to eat puffs quickly!

Thanks Paulsens for hosting us! Let's do it again soon.

Wichita!

Almost two weeks ago we headed to Wichita for the weekend. WOW, it was so awesome to see everyone! I lived there for four years, and we hadn't been back in over 3 1/2 years.

Saturday, Peggy and Gary treated us to an awesome lunch. (Peggy is an amazing cook) They had never met Kailey so it was fun all the way around. We love you guys!

We stayed two nights with Chris and Joy and their three boys. Saturday night, they had a full house - I think it was 22 adults and 17 kids, or something crazy like that! Luckily they have a large home so it wasn't even crowded. I REALLY wish I had taken more pictures, this just does not do it justice. Thanks to Amy who I got a few of these from.

The kids made themselves at home in the toy room!

And Kailey made herself at home with the costumes! Although I have to tell this - she was playing upstairs by herself for a bit and took all her clothes off! She came streaking (in her undies) into the living room where two of my pastors and tons of our friends were visiting! It was hilarious, although I was totally embarassed.

Just a couple of Kailey's new buddies. Grayson is on the left, and his next youngest brother Tate were so good to Kailey while we stayed there. Kailey asked every morning "are my friends awake?" Cooper is in the middle, and he is just as adorable and sweet as his mommy's blog suggests!

Some of the guys

The gals - what an awesome bunch! I miss you guys already.

Sunday was the 20th Anniversary celebration of Cornerstone Fellowship. The place was packed and it was SWEET to see so many people we know and love.

My fam

Did I really only take this one picture with friends? At least we look good, but I should have set up a little photo area :)

I do not even have a picture of Chris and Joy - but THANK YOU so much for letting us crash your place, for feeding us, for hosting a fun evening, for an awesome morning of worship, and for being our friends!

Birthdays

The weekend of Craig's birthday his parents came down and Diane, Philipe, and Philipe's mom came over. We had a great time!

Linda made the cake and Diane decorated it

But we gave Diane a hard time because her birthday is just two days later. So this was the result!

The birthday kids :)

Kailey and Philip's mom really hit it off! Her name is Amay (but I'm sure I didn't spell it right). She speaks French but very little English. Boy did she and Kailey have a blast!

And Kailey always loves seeing her Grandma and Grandpa!

THANKS everyone for coming down!

C is for Craig

Since Craig's birthday was yesterday, I wanted to share a little bit about the things I love about him. My friend Joy has done this with her family and it's kind of fun!

Comical! One of the things I first fell in love with is Craig's sense of humor. He makes me laugh and I really need that. Kailey and Craig have such a fun relationship with so much laughter.

Running is one of Craig's favorite hobbies. I am so proud of him, as he is taking great care of himself and it shows.

Always ready to pitch in. I'd like to think I can take care of everything around the house by myself, but I can't and Craig is awesome at jumping in when needed.

Inviting. One of the other things I first noticed in Craig is his warmness. He is genuinely interested in people and I think he could get a tree to talk back to him. I like taking him places because he always makes me comfortable conversing with others.

Godly - the most important one. Thank you Honey for being such an awesome example to Kailey and me!

Water Park!

For Craig's birthday, he took Friday off work and we headed to CoCo Key Water Resort here in town. We had an awesome day!!

Kailey loved all the kiddie slides - she went on them over and over and over!

And she liked the lazy river, which was great for us :)

The Birthday Boy!!

We "chilled" a little after lunch

Yay for family day!

Swimming Lessons

Kailey started swimming lessons about three weeks ago. She really loves the water, and it's been... interesting...to see her interact with the teacher and the other kids! We've noticed she shows her strong will at home and away. She is the first one to volunteer for an activity, too! And sitting still and following directions are things we need to work on :)

But she sure is cute!
