We are enjoying such nice weather! Last weekend we headed to Stanton, as Troy and Rebecca were visiting with their kiddos. We had so much fun!

Saturday we went to Viking Lake with Grandpa

Sunday we met Grandma at the park

The kids were all so good - we look forward to seeing everyone again!

Memorial Day Weekend

We love three day weekends!!!

Friday thru Sunday we were in Ida Grove with Craig's family. We had a great time!

Kailey loves to "drive" the mower

Aunt Amy is a good helper with the bubbles

A new trike at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Kailey doesn't like to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa :(

Monday we went to Platte River State Park and hiked and ate lunch. It was a gorgeous day.

Kailey hiked with Mommy

Then hitched a ride on Daddy

And even had her own hiking stick!

We were able to spend some time at the cemetery while in Ida Grove, too, which was a nice way to remember what Memorial Day is all about.

Mother's Day Weekend

This is my third post today, so keep scrolling down! I was waaaayyy behind.

We went to Stanton over Mother's Day weekend. We spent Saturday with Dad. The weather was really nice - slightly cool, so a light jacket felt good. Grandpa and Kailey rode the lawn mower all over the place, and we also went to Viking Lake for a walk and ice cream.

Sunday we were with Mom and my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma, etc. I got very few pictures because Kailey was cranky....really, really cranky. But here are two cute ones!

Enjoying Spring

We have been out and about a little since the weather turned so nice. Some days it has been like summer!
We went to Mahoney State Park last weekend for a nice walk. Kailey did the steps up and down the big tower by herself - she was pretty proud!

Jodi and Cody came for a quick visit

...and one last one....a new favorite place to read!

More Landscaping

We spent some time in the yard on Sunday. We've lived here four years and got the itch to landscape.

First, we prepared.

Kailey took a little ice cream break!

The finished product!

(it's a little breezy today...)

Bridges Bay

We had an awesome "cation" to Okoboji last weekend! Each fall, Craig and four of his college buddies and their families get together for NWC's Homecoming. The last two years we've added another gathering earlier in the year. We truly had a great time, and got a $teal of a deal!

We headed out Friday morning and stopped in Sioux City to have lunch with Amy and exert some energy at the park.

We did some swimming before everyone else arrived, then hung out with the gang Friday night. Here is our littlest guy, Raleigh, under his mama's chair - a pretty safe place away from the other 8 kids!

Our wild girl!

Saturday we swam LOTS and it was a blast. Kailey is a real daredevil, going on all the slides, climbing up as high as the bigger kids, etc. She is not afraid!

Here are all the kids - 9 in all. Their ages are 4, 3, 3, 2 1/2, 2, 2, 1, 0, 0. In November kids versus adults will be evened up, and sooner or later they will out number us. Honestly - it wasn't as wild as I expected it to be.

THANKS everyone for a great trip!
