Thomas and Friends
Brecken brought three trains - Thomas and two of his friends. When it was time to leave, we could only find two trains. I looked everywhere and Henry did not turn up.
Tonight Kailey was in her room playing and she started yelling, "Mommy!! Daddy!! Come here!! Stuck!!"
Sure enough...
Daddy rescued Henry from the ball popper. We will send Henry back to Brecken, but I might let Kailey play with him for a couple of days :)
Kailey and Brecken
We spent Thursday and Friday with Janelle and Brecken. Janelle and I have been friends since college but we have not lived in the same area for any of these 10 years! Bummer! I am thrilled they stayed with us for a couple of days. Kailey has talked about Brecken since they left - they played great together.

I'm A Little Behind...
A couple weeks ago we celebrated Diane's birthday at her and Philipe's place. Craig's birthday was just two days earlier so it was a good time to get family together for some fun.

Some Guitar Hero was involved - Kailey thought that guitar was pretty cool!

It's So Fun to be TWO!
In some instances, Kailey insists that she is a big girl, and at other times she doesn't want to have anything to do with big girl things. It's girl's perrogative, Mommy and Daddy!
Here she is the first morning after sleeping all night in her big girl bed (she's not a morning person, so this was the best I could do)
The paradox in one picture - in her big girl panties (I promise) but playing in the baby toy (stuck, actually)

Meeting Emma
Last Sunday we took a short road trip to meet Craig's cousin's new baby, Emma. She is quite a sweetheart, and Kailey wanted to be right next to her as soon as she saw her.

Holding Emma
Kailey didn't take a nap, but she got a little "rest" here and there with Brent and Grandma!

Family Room Makeover
After four years in our house, we finally painted the family room downstairs. We painted 3 walls cranberry red and one wall tan. We had never painted red before so it was more challenging but we definitely like the results.

We also bought a new desk so Lindsay can have more room to work from home and our old desk didn't have any drawers or doors. Kailey would find everything from staplers to printer paper to play with. The desk required assembling which honestly took more time than the painting!
